ALTAR BUILDER APPLICATION




APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED AND ACCEPTED ON A ROLLING BASIS BEGINNING IN MID AUGUST. EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY EARLY TO SECURE YOUR ALTAR SPOT. 


Thank you for taking the time to apply to be an altar builder at 2024 Dia de los Muertos at Hemisfair. We encourage you to apply early for the best chance at securing your space. All altar applications are confidentially reviewed and selected. 

Please read all the Altar Builder Policies below before filling out the application.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Dates: Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2024
Festival Hours: Saturday from 10am to 11pm and Sunday from noon to 9pm


EVENT LOCATION
Hemisfair, 630 E. Nueva St., San Antonio, TX 78205

TIMELINE
Applications will be selected on a rolling basis and will remain open until all spaces are filled. Last year, we reached capacity by September 1st, so you are encouraged to apply early. 
If space remains, altar applications will remain open until September 15, 2024. 

SPACE IS LIMITED
SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE PARTICIPATION. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Participation is not confirmed until you have received notice of your selection as an altar builder and your application and refundable deposit are submitted AND you have received a confirmation email from Día de los Muertos at Hemisfair.

REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
A refundable deposit of $30 is required to reserve your altar space. You can pick up your refunded deposit on site on October 27, 2024, after the event’s conclusion, upon tear down and clean up of the altar space. Deposits will not be returned if spaces are not promptly cleaned up or if applicant tears down before the conclusion of the event.

CANCELLATION
To receive a refund, cancellations must be made no later than September 15, 2024.
